SCG9345 - Afghanistan – Numeral Definitive (c.1910s–1920s) – Red Imperforate
1 in stock
This striking imperforate issue from Afghanistan features the traditional Persian “4” numeral design, a hallmark of early Afghan postal printing. Rendered in bold red ink with a fine-line background, the stamp carries the inscription “Postes Afghanes” at top and additional Persian text at bottom. These early numeral types were hand-printed in small batches, leading to numerous shade, paper, and impression varieties highly sought after by specialists. Its clean margins and sharp impression make it an appealing example for any collection of classic Afghan philately.
