SCG9017 - Labuan 24 Cents Coat of Arms Overprint (British Borneo)
1 in stock
This classic Labuan 24 Cents stamp features the ornate Coat of Arms of British North Borneo, showing two indigenous supporters, a sailing vessel, and the motto Pergo et Perago (“I undertake and I achieve”). Originally issued as a dual Postage & Revenue design, it bears the bold LABUAN overprint used during the Crown Colony’s postal administration period. The bi-colour engraving in deep blue and rose carmine is a hallmark of late-19th-century colonial issues. A desirable piece for collectors of British Borneo, overprints, and classical colonial philately, particularly in well-struck used condition.
