SCG9007 - Labuan 2c Postage Due Overprint on North Borneo Definitive
1 in stock
This striking 2c green stamp originates from North Borneo but was officially overprinted “LABUAN” for postal use on the nearby island colony. The original design features a finely engraved Sambar deer head, one of North Borneo’s classic wildlife motifs. Later, a bold vertical “POSTAGE DUE” overprint converted it into a due label for handling unpaid mail. Such dual overprints make this issue highly desirable among Borneo and Labuan specialists. Clear cancellation further authenticates its postal-due usage period.
