SCG900 - Guinea Airmail Stamp – Apollo 8 Overprint on Ranger VII (1968)
Out of stock
This 200 Franc airmail stamp from the Republic of Guinea originally honored the Ranger VII lunar mission, as seen in the background illustration of a rocket launch and Earth terrain. It was later overprinted with a striking red globe, orbit rings, and the text to commemorate the first crewed mission to orbit the Moon. The overprint transformed the stamp into a dual tribute to both historic U.S. space missions. Designed by Mosdossy and printed by De La Rue de Colombia.
