SCG8915 - Austria 1908 “Imperial Crown” – 3 Heller Violet (Rudolf Junk Design)
1 in stock
This classic Austrian Empire definitive shows the Austrian Imperial Crown of Rudolf II, engraved in exquisite detail and printed in a rich violet shade. Issued in 1908 during the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I, it formed part of the landmark “Kaiserreich” series created for the Emperor’s 60th Jubilee. Designed by Rudolf Junk, the stamp features dense ornamental frames and the inscription KAISERLICH KÖNIGLICHE ÖSTERREICHISCHE POST. This used example retains strong colour, crisp engraving, and a period cancellation—an appealing piece for collectors of early 20th-century Habsburg issues.
