This Austrian 10 Heller stamp was issued in 1908 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Emperor Franz Joseph I’s reign, one of the longest-serving monarchs in European history. Printed in a deep carmine-rose shade, it features a finely engraved left-facing portrait of the Emperor, framed by ornate Art Nouveau lettering reading “Kaiserlich Königliche Österreichische Post.”
Designed by Koloman Moser and engraved by F. Schirnböck, the issue is highly regarded for its artistic quality and historical significance. Collectors value clean centering and strong color contrasts in this early 20th-century commemorative.
