SCG8864 - Netherlands 5c Queen Wilhelmina – Red Coat of Arms Issue (Used)
1 in stock
This Dutch 5-cent red definitive features the young Queen Wilhelmina in an ornate oval frame surrounded by laurel leaves and crowned arms—one of the most classic portraits of her early reign. Issued between 1899 and 1921, this elegant engraved design served throughout a long transitional period in Dutch postal history. The example shown bears a bold circular cancellation from ’s-Hertogenbosch (“Den Bosch”), adding strong postal character. Despite some edge wear and heavy cancel, it remains a desirable piece for Wilhelmina specialists and collectors of early 20th-century Netherlands definitives.
