This French commemorative stamp was issued in 1976 to mark the 50th anniversary of ACORAM (Association Centrale des Officiers de Réserve de l’Armée de Mer), founded in 1926. The design, by Pierre Béquet, features two French naval ships sailing in opposite directions, symbolizing past and modern fleets. At the center is the ACORAM emblem — a golden anchor entwined with a chain and trident. The inscription reads “Officiers de Réserve de l’Armée de Mer” (“Reserve Officers of the Navy”), reflecting the enduring role of naval reserve officers in France’s maritime defense.
