Issued in 1959, this Turkish commemorative stamp pair marks the centenary of the Faculty of Political Sciences (Siyasal Bilgiler Fakültesi), commonly known as Mülkiye, in Ankara. Both 40 kuruş values depict the faculty’s modernist building, flanked by the faculty’s crest bearing the initials S.B.F. The two color variants—green and brown, and brown and blue—were printed by the Austrian State Printing Works (Staatsdruckerei Wien). These stamps celebrate a century of academic and civil service tradition, as Mülkiye has been a cornerstone institution in Turkish public administration since 1859.
