SCG8058 - Italy 1969 Europa CEPT 10th Anniversary Stamps
1 in stock
Issued by Italy in 1969, this pair of Europa CEPT commemorative stamps celebrates the 10th anniversary of the European postal and telecommunications cooperation (1959–1969). Designed by A. Ponsiglione, G. Belli, and L. Gasbarra, the stamps depict the word “EUROPA” as a stylized architectural structure symbolizing unity and shared progress. The series includes two denominations—L.50 in deep rose-red and L.90 in blue—both inscribed “poste italiane.” This set reflects the optimism of postwar European integration and is a hallmark of 1960s modernist philatelic design.
