SCG7728 - Luxembourg 1969 – Bourglinster Castle (Caritas Issue)
1 in stock
This 1969 Luxembourg charity stamp from the Caritas series depicts the medieval Bourglinster Castle, one of the country’s finest examples of fortified architecture. Designed by Foni Tissen and printed by Courvoisier S.A., the scene shows a nobleman in red attire handing a gift to a young page, set against the grand castle’s turrets and ramparts. The inscription “2F + 25c” indicates that 25 centimes from each stamp went toward charitable causes. The composition blends Luxembourg’s medieval heritage with the tradition of philatelic charity issues.
