SCG7463 - IFNI 1960 Pro-Infancia – Camels and Sheep
1 in stock
This Spanish colonial issue from IFNI (Spanish West Africa), released in 1960, belongs to the Pro-Infancia semi-postal series, created to raise funds for child welfare programs. The stamp, with a denomination of 10 + 5 centimos, features a finely engraved image of two camels and a sheep, representing the arid Saharan fauna typical of the region. The soft reddish-violet tone and realistic shading reflect the engraving mastery of the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre (FNMT). The additional 5 cts surtax was donated to children’s charities, blending humanitarian purpose with striking colonial artistry.
