The design features the airport’s control tower with the word KARACHI prominently inscribed and an airplane flying overhead, symbolizing modernity and connection. The crescent and star emblem in the upper corners reflects the new nation’s Islamic identity. This was one of the earliest postage issues of Pakistan, marking the birth of the new state.
