SCG7403 - Mexico 10 Centavos “Benito Juárez” (c. 1915–1917)
1 in stock
This classic blue Mexican definitive stamp features a finely engraved portrait of Benito Juárez, the revered reformist president of Mexico (1806–1872). The design is framed by laurel branches, symbolizing victory and national honor, with the denomination “DIEZ CENTAVOS” boldly inscribed below. The top banner reads “CORREOS MEXICO”, accompanied by a small national emblem. Printed in a deep ultramarine shade, this issue comes from the early 20th-century series used during the Mexican Revolution era, often on rough, ungummed or thin paper varieties.
Collector’s Note:
Stamps of this type are highly collectible for their historical connection to Mexico’s turbulent revolutionary period and the enduring national admiration of Juárez. Mint imperforate examples, like this one, are especially valued for their sharp impression and intact margins.
