SCG7358 - Mongolia 1960 – 40th Anniversary of Mongolian Press
1 in stock
These commemorative stamps were issued by Mongolia in 1960 to mark the 40th Anniversary of the Mongolian Press (1920–1960). The designs feature early issues of the national newspaper “Ünen” (“Truth”), symbolizing the birth and growth of the modern Mongolian press.
The stamps were printed in two denominations — 20 möngö (red border) and 30 möngö (green border) — each adorned with ornate corner scrolls and a bold ribbon inscribed “1920–1960.” The central imagery of newspapers and Mongolian script celebrates literacy, communication, and the nation’s socialist-era progress in education and media.
