This Yugoslavian definitive stamp features a left-facing profile portrait of Marshal Josip Broz Tito (1892–1980), the long-serving leader of socialist Yugoslavia. Printed in red, it bears the inscription PTT · JUGOSLAVIJA and a face value of 0.50 dinar. Part of a long-running definitive series issued from the 1950s through the 1970s, these stamps were widely used across all republics of the Yugoslav federation.

Tito’s portrait, rendered in a clean engraved style, symbolized the unity and independence of post-war Yugoslavia under his non-aligned leadership. The simplicity of design and bold color make this issue a classic example of mid-20th-century socialist postal iconography.
