The first design (left) shows Sputnik-type space rocket with “SZOVJET ŰRRAKÉTA” (Soviet Space Rocket), celebrating early orbital achievements. The second (right) bears the overprint “22ʰ 02ᶦ 34ˢ” and the red Soviet flag on the Moon, labeled “SZOVJET HOLDAKÉTA” (Soviet Moon Rocket), commemorating Luna 2, the first spacecraft to impact the lunar surface on 13 September 1959.
Both designed by Ádám Cziglényi, they feature striking cosmic artwork with Earth, the Moon, and planetary backgrounds, symbolizing the dawn of interplanetary exploration.
