This elegant pair from Liechtenstein’s 1972 issue celebrates historic religious foundations linked to the principality’s heritage. The 20 Rp stamp depicts the emblem of St. Johann Abbey in Thurtal, featuring the Lamb of God with a red banner, symbolizing faith and purity. The 30 Rp stamp honors the Damenstift Schänis, represented by a golden crown on a red field, denoting spiritual nobility and service. Both designs by Louis Jaeger were printed in rich colors by Courvoisier S.A., exemplifying the refined Swiss engraving tradition.
