This colorful set of Paraguayan stamps, issued in 1965, commemorates the pioneering NASA Gemini missions. The ₲0.30 stamp features astronauts Virgil I. Grissom and John W. Young of Gemini III (March 23, 1965), the first crewed Gemini flight. The ₲0.40 and ₲0.50 values depict Edward White and James McDivitt of Gemini IV (June 3–7, 1965), during which White became the first American to conduct a spacewalk (EVA). Printed by De La Rue de Colombia, the stamps are striking in vivid red-orange and pink tones, reflecting Paraguay’s enthusiasm for the Space Age. A highly desirable thematic issue for collectors of space exploration, U.S. astronauts, and Cold War-era philately.
