SCG4964 - Bavaria 1914–1916 Official Service Stamps – Coat of Arms Issue
1 in stock
These official service stamps of the Kingdom of Bavaria feature the crowned Bavarian coat of arms supported by heraldic lions, with the inscription “DIENSTMARKE” (Service Stamp). Issued between 1914 and 1916, they were used exclusively for government correspondence. The denominations shown here include 7½ Pfennig (green shades, mint and used) and 10 Pfennig (red, mint). These issues represent the last phase of Bavarian independence before full postal integration into the German Reich in 1920. Collectors value them for their bold heraldic design, perforation varieties, and shade differences.
