SCG4904 - Germany 1933 Charity Stamp – View of Vienna from Upper Belvedere
Out of stock
This 12+8 pfennig red charity stamp was issued by Deutsches Reich in 1933 as part of a series featuring Austrian landscapes. The design, created by E. Puchinger, shows a scenic view of Vienna from the Upper Belvedere Palace, framed by ornate balcony railings. The “+8” surcharge was collected to support welfare causes, typical of German semi-postal issues of the era. Collectors value this issue both for its fine engraving and its historical connection to Austria before its annexation in 1938.
