This Mexican revenue stamp was issued in 1908 for fiscal purposes, specifically for patentes, control directo y guías (licenses, direct control, and guides). Printed in red with a bold typographic design, it bears the large denomination “30 Cents” flanked by circular ornaments. The text “CONTROL DEL TALON – AÑO 1908” indicates its use for official accounting and auditing. Each stamp carried a black serial number at the top for strict financial tracking. Such fiscal issues are scarce survivors, as most were retained in revenue offices or destroyed after use, making intact examples collectible today.
