This is a Mexican fiscal (revenue) stamp issued in 1908 with a face value of 10 centavos. It was used for the control of receipts (Control del Talon) relating to patents, direct contributions, and official guides. The stamp bears the inscription “QUE QUEDA EN LA OFICINA RECAUDADORA” (“which remains in the revenue office”), indicating its purpose for internal accounting and validation of tax payments. Printed in green with a bold numeral “10” in circles on each side, it includes a serial control number at the top for security. A notable example of early 20th-century Mexican revenue issues, these stamps are sought after by fiscal collectors due to their historical role in tax regulation.
