SCG4840 - Mexico 1908 Revenue Stamp – 20 Pesos Green (Control del Talón)
1 in stock
This is a 1908 Mexican revenue stamp denominated 20 Pesos, printed in green, and inscribed “Control del Talón – Año 1908”. These fiscal issues were used for patents, direct contracts, and guides, with the annotation that the stub (talón) remained in the tax office records. The design includes a serial control number (here 002985) at the top, printed in black. Such stamps were part of Mexico’s early 20th-century fiscal system and are highly sought after by collectors of classic Latin American revenues. Examples in clean condition with sharp perforations and intact control numbers are particularly desirable.
