SCG4362 - French Guiana – Territoire de l’Inini Overprint, 1 Centime
1 in stock
This scarce colonial issue originates from French Guiana, with an overprint for Territoire de l’Inini, a remote inland district established in 1930 and administered separately until 1946. The base design, by A. Delzers and R. Tillet, depicts a native archer poised with a bow, a symbolic representation of the region’s indigenous heritage. Printed in violet and green, the bold black overprint “TERRITOIRE DE L’ININI” adds strong philatelic significance. Such overprinted issues were produced in limited quantities, making them highly collectible today. A fine piece of postal history from one of the lesser-known corners of the French colonial empire.
