SCG4238 - Hannover 1861 – 2 Groschen Blue, King George V
1 in stock
This is a classic Kingdom of Hannover issue from 1861, denominated 2 Groschen, printed in deep blue. The design features the left-facing profile of King George V of Hannover, framed by a finely lined rectangular border with ornamental corners. The stamp bears a bold circular cancellation from HANNOVER, dated 7/10, which adds strong postal history value. Issued just a few years before Hannover was annexed by Prussia in 1866, this stamp represents the final period of independent Hannover philately. A desirable item for collectors of German States and pre-unification German issues.
