This 35 Lire stamp, issued by the Republic of San Marino in 1968, depicts the coat of arms of Montegiardino, the smallest of San Marino’s nine municipalities (castelli). The shield features three stylized red roses growing from a triple mount, symbolizing fertility and endurance. Montegiardino has historical significance as one of the oldest settlements in the republic, known for its medieval heritage and agricultural tradition. The design was printed by the State Printing Works in Rome and engraved by Martelli.
