SCG3962 - Postal Stationery Card – Germany 1912
1 in stock
This is a German Reich postal stationery card with an imprinted 5 Pfennig Germania issue, postmarked Löbau, 27 June 1912. The stamp design shows Germania, the allegorical female figure symbolizing the German Empire, framed with ornate detail. The cancellation is a circular date stamp from Löbau (Saxony).
The card is addressed to Berlin, written in the traditional German cursive script (Kurrent/Sütterlin). The reverse carries a personal handwritten message dated 27 June 1912, providing a historical snapshot of everyday correspondence during the Kaiserreich era.
Such postal stationery cards were widely used in the early 20th century for short communications and are today valued both for their postal history and the presence of contemporary postmarks and handwriting.
