SCG3941 - Austria 1902 – 5 Heller Green Postal Card to Hamburg
1 in stock
This is an Austrian postal stationery card issued with an imprinted 5 Heller green stamp featuring Emperor Franz Joseph I. The card was postmarked Reichenberg (Bohemia) on 9 May 1902 and addressed to Hamburg, Germany. A clear arrival postmark of Hamburg (10 May 1902) is struck on the front. The sender’s oval violet cachet, Richard Streit, Reichenberg, is also visible.
The reverse carries a neatly handwritten German business correspondence dated the same day. Such postal cards were widely used for commercial communication during the Austro-Hungarian Empire and are valued by collectors for their postal markings, sender’s cachets, and intact usage abroad.
