SCG3923 - Philippines 1952 – Third Lions District Convention FDC
Out of stock
This First Day Cover was issued on December 15, 1952, in Manila, to commemorate the 3rd Lions District Convention held in Baguio City (April 2–6, 1952). It features two stamps depicting Wright Park, Baguio City—a 5c carmine and a 6c green—both inscribed with the Lions International emblem.
The cachet, in bronze and blue, highlights the Lions Club’s motto of “Unselfish Community Service”, along with a symbolic lion standing over a globe. The left panel also illustrates Wright Park and bears the inscription honoring the convention. A clear Manila “First Day of Issue” circular cancellation ties the stamps.
This FDC is a fine piece for thematic collectors of Lions Clubs International, community service, Philippine commemoratives, and convention issues.
