This official First Day Cover (FDC) was issued on June 28, 1972, to commemorate the 55th Lions International Convention held in Mexico City. The envelope bears a 40 centavos commemorative stamp featuring the Lions International emblem in yellow and blue. It is postmarked with a special cancellation inscribed “LV Convención Internacional – Día de Emisión – 28-VI-72, Correos México” with twin lion motifs. The cachet on the left, produced by LISC Cachet, features a bold red sunburst design with the words “Mexico City” in the center, highlighting the convention dates June 28 – July 1, 1972.
