The plebiscite affirmed Carinthia’s continued union with Austria following World War I. Designed by A. Pilch and engraved by A. Fischer, the stamp bears the inscription “50 Jahre Volksabstimmung in Kärnten” (50 Years of the Plebiscite in Carinthia).
