This German commemorative stamp, issued in 2010, honors the writer Fritz Reuter (1810–1874), a prominent 19th-century poet and novelist who wrote in Low German (Plattdeutsch). The design features a quote in Low German:
“Wenn einer dauhn deiht, wat hei deiht, denn kann hei nich mihr dauhn, as hei deiht.”
(Translation: "If someone does what he can, then he can't do more than he does.")
The background shows a floral motif, and Reuter’s portrait appears at the bottom. The stamp has a denomination of 100 (Euro cents) and was issued by Deutschland (Germany).
