Out of stock
This Israeli stamp is part of the historic 1948 "Doar Ivri" (Hebrew Post) series, the first stamps issued after the declaration of independence. The 3 mils orange denomination features an ancient Jewish coin from the First Jewish–Roman War (66–70 CE), depicting a palm tree flanked by baskets—symbolizing agricultural abundance and historical continuity. The inscription at the top is in Hebrew ("Doar Ivri"), with the denomination shown in both Arabic and Hebrew numerals. This iconic issue marked the rebirth of the Jewish postal system in the new state.
