This striking set from Bavaria, issued in 1919, features the neoclassical “Allegory of Bavaria” design. Each stamp depicts a robed female figure holding a flower and crown, standing beside the Bavarian coat of arms. Designed during the post-WWI transition period, these high-denomination marks (3M, 5M, 10M, and 20M) were among the final issues before Bavaria was fully integrated into the Weimar Republic.
