SCG2122 - Japanese Occupation of Philippines – 5 Centavo Mount Mayon Stamp (1943)
Out of stock
This brown 5 centavo stamp was issued by the Japanese-occupied Philippine government during World War II in 1943. It features a striking depiction of Mount Mayon and Mount Arayat, flanked by tropical foliage and palm trees. The overprint at the top reads “Philippine Post” in Japanese characters (比島郵便). These wartime occupation issues were printed in Manila and represent a complex period in Philippine postal history. This is a mint example.
