SCG1788 - Russia 1921 RSFSR Famine Relief Charity Labels – Transport Series (Set of 3)
Out of stock
This rare set of three charity cinderella stamps was issued in 1921 by the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (RSFSR) to aid famine victims. Each stamp bears the word "ГОЛОДАЮЩИМ" (To the Starving) and depicts a mode of transport involved in relief logistics—locomotive, motor truck, and steamship. These were not valid for postage but were sold to raise funds for hunger relief during the devastating Russian famine of 1921–1922. Their stark, utilitarian design and imperforate format reflect the urgency and hardship of the era.
