This historical commemorative stamp was issued by the People’s Republic of Romania (Republica Populară Română) in 1953, marking the 20th anniversary (1933–1953) of the Grivița railway workers’ strike — a major workers’ movement that became a symbol of class struggle under early Communist Romania.

The design, printed in brown, depicts industrial workers in protest, with a banner reading “Aniversarea luptelor muncitorilor ceferisti si petrolisti – Februarie 1933” (“Anniversary of the struggles of railway and oil workers – February 1933”). The denomination is 55 bani, with “POSTA” below it.
