SCG1784 - Imperial Russia 15 Kopecks Konstantin with Currency Backprint
Out of stock
This is a Russian Imperial stamp from the late 19th or early 20th century featuring Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolayevich (КОНСТАНТИНЪ) of Russia, inscribed with "ПОЧТА" (Post) and a face value of 15 kopecks. Notably, the reverse side has a printed message in old Russian orthography, which translates to: "Has circulation equal to silver coinage." This confirms the stamp was valid for use as currency equivalent, a rare feature.
