SCG1516 - Deutsches Reich Overprint on Danzig Issue (Used)
Out of stock
This 50 Rpf used stamp features the coat of arms of the Free City of Danzig and has been overprinted with "Deutsches Reich" for German use following the annexation in 1939. The striking blue and red design originally represented Danzig’s postal authority but was repurposed during the transition to German control. A notable philatelic example of political change reflected through overprints.
